Dogs are smart and they know what they want. They also see no reason why they shouldn’t get their way because they are all about love and they live in the moment. Since they really have no concept of time this means they pack maximum enjoyment into every minute.
Humans could really learn from the example of our dog friends. Lighten up and have a good time in the here and now.

Or maybe he is just showing his gratitude to the officer who freed him from the trap in which he was caught. You decide for yourself. All I can say is this is a smart dog that knows what he wants and I think the officer has a new deputy if he wanted one or not.
It is said that sometimes animals pick the people they want to be with. I certainly have experienced bring chosen as an animals forever companion and I have felt humbled and honored every time. The funny thing is, every time this has happened to me—the animal was right.
