Sign a Petition to Save Reindeer

The reindeer (Rangifer tarandus), also known as the caribou when wild in North America.

The wild caribou of Canada are making their last stand.  They need protected territory, free from logging in order to survive in the wild.  Without a protected environment we may lose these beautiful animals forever.

I received the email below from Care 2 Petition.  It is an action alert regarding caribou.  These iconic animals need our help.  If you follow the link you can sign a petition to Premier McGuinty of Canada asking him to keep logging out of the caribou habitat.

It only takes a few minutes to add your voice to the call for action on this problem.  It isn’t much for you, but it could make a huge difference to the caribou of Canada and the environment.  Please add your signature.  Together we may be able to protect these animals for ourselves, future generations and of course for them.  They deserve our help.
