Wisconsin is known as The Badger State. It produces more milk than any other state making it the dairy capital of the United States. The state is also well known for picturesque farms.
In this state there is an abundance of national scenic trails and national forest and you will find 7,446 streams and rivers totaling 26,767 miles of waterways. If you love the outdoors and nature this is the state for you.
Of course, one has to also consider the winter weather which, depending on your preferences, can be less than wonderful. If you like the snow there is an abundance of winter snowmobile trails, ice skating and cross country skiing .
With so much to enjoy the companionship of a pet would just add to the fun. Adoption from a shelter or rescue is a great way to obtain this (or these) pets. After a while you won’t be sure if you saved the pets or if they saved you.
