Texas Animal Shelters

800px-alamo_replica Texas is the only state to enter The United States by treaty instead of territorial annexation. Its unique state history goes on from there. All Americans and indeed most of the world is familiar with the Texas past. It has been immortalized in song, art and motion pictures for years. What American child doesn’t know and identify with the saga of the cowboy?

Everything seems to be big in this state. As an example The King Ranch in Texas is bigger that the state of Rhode Island and that’s just one ranch!

Probably the most recognizable symbol of Texas is the Alamo. It is located in San Antonio and is where Texas defenders fell to the Mexican General Santa Anna. It is considered the cradle of Texas liberty and the states most historic site.

Texas is big and roomy in both land area and heart. It seems only fair to spring some of the pets now languishing in the states pet rescues and animal shelters. If at all possible, all of you longhorns make arrangements for the adoption of one or more of these pets. Show them some of that Texas heart and generosity.
